Carissa Howard, APCC
I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a strong background in child development and a deep belief in the resilience of children, teens, and families. I specialize in helping individuals and families navigate change, trauma, chronic illness, and grief/loss with compassion and care. My approach is rooted in empathy, creativity, and connection. I like to use hands-on interventions and practices to help my clients process difficult emotions in a way that feels safe and accessible.
Whether through creating, storytelling, or nonthreatening conversation, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to share our stories. My goal is to empower every client to embrace their journey with confidence, strength, and hope.
